Scott Richards is founder and principal at G. Scott Richards, LLC, Olympia-based government affairs and consulting firm.
In 2014, after nine legislative sessions as nonpartisan staff to the Washington State House of Representatives, Scott hung out his own shingle as a lobbyist and consultant.
As principal of G. Scott Richards, LLC, Scott focuses on representing clients seeking a cleaner energy sector, increased customer access to high-speed broadband, and conservation and restoration of our natural resources.
During his time with the Legislature, Scott staffed House committees responsible for energy, environmental, carbon, economic development, and telecommunications policy
Before moving to Washington State in 2005, Scott served as Director of Energy and Environmental Policy at the Council of State Governments, Development Manager for the London Energy Partnership, Assistant Director at the Kentucky Environmental Quality Commission, and a Research Specialist with the Kentucky Water Watch Program.
Scott holds an MSc from the London School of Economics and a B.A. from Transylvania University in Lexington, Kentucky.
