Scott Osterholt serves as the Managing Director of Broadband and Federal Grants at American Electric Power (AEP). He focuses on the successful implementation of AEP’s rural middle-mile broadband strategy. The buildout of fiber cable provides communications to support power grid operations and advancement of grid technologies while also providing a conduit for high-speed internet access for underserved regions. Scott also leads AEP’s federal grants effort to evaluate projects, submit applications, and advocate for funds to maximize the company’s ca pita I investments and reduce costs for customers. Scott has served in various roles over his 28-year career at AEP. Previously, he Ied the network deployment for the company’s competitive telecom organization. He also supported AEP Ohio, the local operating company, in grid modernization efforts.
