UTC Interim President & CEO Ron Beck issued the following statement after President Biden announced his intent to nominate Anna Gomez to serve as the fifth Commissioner of the Federal Communications Commission on May 22, 2023.

Her extensive and deep public service record at the FCC, NTIA, Congress, the White House and, most recently, at the State Department in the Bureau of Cyberspace and Digital Policy ensures that the U.S. stays on the cutting edge of the rapidly moving communications landscape. As a distinguished communications policy expert, Ms. Gomez would bring a unique and valuable perspective to the Commission. I also want to congratulate Commissioners Brendan Carr and Geoffrey Starks on their nomination to serve additional five-year terms as FCC Commissioners.”
