“I applaud the appointment of Commissioner Emile Thompson as the Interim Chair of the Public Service Commission of the District of Columbia. At the same time, I congratulate Mayor Muriel Bowser for her foresight in appointing Mr. Thompson, whose outstanding record of public service and commitment to the District will be the foundation for leading the Public Service Commission in successfully addressing pressing issues such as the energy transition and utility workforce development.”
