ABOUT THIS EVENT
UTC has teamed with DAMM Cellular Systems to provide an eight-part webinar series that addresses several topics related land mobile radio system design. Topics include traffic management theory, outdoor and indoor propagation, IP traffic concepts and TETRA radio air interface technology. The sessions are led by an engineer with over twenty years of experience in TETRA system solutions design. Professional development hour (PDH) certificates will be available for sessions attended.
The webinar gives a practical approach to modelling telecommunication traffic with focus on signaling. The session explains the basics of air interface signaling with special focus on the slotted aloha random access protocol. The theory will be applied on an example of AVL message dimensioning. Additionally, the available signaling channels of TETRA will shortly be discussed. Aim of the webinar is to have a clear understanding of the basics of telecommunication traffic theory and be able to dimension air interface signaling channels of a narrow band network like TETRA.
