Mitchell Crocker, PMP, is a Senior Technical Analyst who works in Information Technology at CenterPoint Energy located in Houston, Texas. He has been leading and supporting workforce development initiatives for this organization since the beginning of 2017. He has worked on Telecommunications infrastructure projects for over 16 years. Mr. Crocker is Chair of the Knowledge & Learning Committee for UTC (Utilities Technology Council) and UTC Region 7 Vice-Chair. He is a UTC Emerging Leader award recipient (2019). He has contributed to four articles in the UTC Journal and serves on its Editorial Advisory Board. He serves as a community leader at the United Way of Greater Houston, volunteer for Junior Achievement of Southeast Texas, member of the Economic Development Committee for the National Black MBA Association Houston Chapter, President and PM for the Greater Southeast Community Empowerment Council and advocate for his fraternity, leading the effort to minimize domestic violence and providing a positive influence on the youth throughout the state of Texas. Mr. Crocker holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Western Governors University and MBA with a concentration in Organizational Development & Change from Houston Baptist University (HBU). He is an adjunct professor at HBU in the College of Business. He is a Certified Project Management Professional (PMP). He will be pursuing a doctorate degree in HR Development from the University of Texas at Tyler in the Fall.
