Bob Knight is both a broadband industry professional and a public official. He is the President & CEO at Harrison Edwards PR+Marketing in Armonk, New York, and is heavily involved in the company’s key sectors including telecommunications, economic development, government, healthcare, and crisis management. In his role at Harrison Edwards, Bob is widely considered the nation’s leading expert in community and stakeholder engagement for fiber-broadband deployments.
In the public sector, Bob is serving his seventh term as a Commissioner of Economic & Community Development, Town of Ridgefield, Connecticut, and sits on the Business and Jobs Subcommittee of the State of Connecticut Region 5 Long-Term Recovery Committee.
He is an executive board member of the American Association for Public Broadband (AAPB), the co-chair of the Public Officials Committee of the Fiber Broadband Association representing 150+ cities, towns, counties utilities, and state agencies, and a 2023 Chairman of the Broadband Communities Summit in Houston, TX. Bob also sits on the Regional Plan Association of New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut’s Connecticut Committee.
Earlier in his career, Bob was a top-rated radio air personality and programmer. Notably, in 2000, he replaced Ryan Seacrest at K101 in San Francisco, then served as Director of Operations and Programming for NextMedia Chicago where he co-hosted “The Morning Beat with Jeff and Bobby.”
Bob lives in Ridgefield, Connecticut with his wife and two children.
