Anand Vedapuri is a seasoned executive with over 25 years of experience in IT infrastructure, architecture, and emerging technologies. Currently, he serves as the Vice President of Infrastructure & Operations, Enterprise Architecture at CPS Energy in San Antonio, Texas. In this role, he oversees the formal enterprise architecture and emerging technology landscape, and ensuring the organization’s business capabilities align with its targeted business outcomes.
Prior to joining CPS Energy, Anand was the Global Head of Architecture, Service Delivery & Operations at The AES Corporation in Indianapolis, Indiana, from 2019 to 2022. He led enterprise IT strategy, service delivery, operations, and managed a $50M+ budget, spearheading digital transformations, including a Cloud-First and Innovation strategy that resulted in significant annual savings.
In 2022, he briefly served as an IT Advisor for AbbVie, contributing to the Global ERP Deployment Strategy and Roadmap. Before this, he was the Global IT Director of Business Transition & Transformation Programs at Rickett Benckiser ( RB) from 2012 to 2018, where he led IT service transformations post-acquisition and achieved substantial cost savings and operational efficiencies.
Anand’s extensive career includes serving as the Global IT Director for Infrastructure & Workplace Services at Mead Johnson Nutrition ( part of Rickett Benckiser) from 2012 to 2017, where he managed and led global budgets and global teams in 48 countries to put together global digital strategies, roadmaps to optimize IT application initiatives and infrastructure. He also held the role of Associate Director of Infrastructure & Workplace Services from 2008 to 2012, where he played a crucial role in post-M&A IT organization shaping.
Starting his career at Bristol-Myers Squibb, Anand advanced rapidly through various roles, including Global Program Manager, Lead Solution Architect, and Senior Business Analyst from 1998 to 2008. He led numerous high-visibility projects and implemented key cost-saving measures.
Anand holds a Chief Digital Officer diploma from Kellogg School of Management from Northwestern University, a Master of Business Administration in International Finance & MIS from PSG College of Technology, a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Bharathiar University, and certifications in Project Management Professional and Management Excellence from Villanova University and the American Management Association, respectively.
