Tom has spent over 42 years in the communications industry with emphasis on the transport of mission-critical traffic for the Power Utility segment. Tom spends most of his time designing and supporting communication networks with expertise on the SEL ICON platform.
Prior to joining SEL, Tom worked for GE Digital Energy where he was the northeastern regional sales manager for the Junglemux product line. Prior to GE, Tom worked for RFL Electronics Inc. after graduating from Metropolitan Technical Institute in 1979. Tom held numerous positions within RFL including product management for their T1 and SONET product lines. Tom spent many years working with protective relaying applications before changing his focus to telecommunications.
Tom is an active member of the IEEE Power & Engineering Society. Tom resides on the Communications Subcommittee under the Power Systems Relaying Committee (PSRC) and is also a member of the Power Systems Communications Committee (PSCC).
