John Werner

John Werner is the Senior Manager, Utilities and Communications at Thayer Power & Communication.  In this role he is responsible for the interaction of Thayer’s Power, Wireless and FiberComm divisions focused on all communication services located on utility infrastructure. John is integral to the entire deployment ecosystem – engineering, permitting, , installation, and operations.

Thayer provides services from nine offices with 800 employees and 630 fleet vehicles.  Oriented towards construction, the unique combination of Thayer’s power, fiber, and wireless skills creates a single very highly skilled and safe deliverable that has immediate support and credibility with utilities, carriers, telcos, and governmental agencies.

John represents Thayer at the Utilities Technology Council, Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Standards Association, Telecommunications Association, American Public Power Association, and Heartland Joint Use.

John earned an MBA at The Ohio State University and a PMP while at AT&T Mobility. Prior to joining Thayer, John served in management positions at Crown Castle, Paul J Ford & Company, AT&T Mobility and Verizon Wireless.
