25 Aug Ben Carter
My name is Ben Carter and I am responsible for the Douglas County Community Network (DCCN), a cutting-edge open access fiber Ethernet network owned and operated by PUD #1 of Douglas County (DCPUD), in Douglas County Washington. I have worked on the DCCN since 2000.
The DCCN has successfully brought cutting-edge broadband to underserved rural customers in Douglas County since 1998. Mansfield, Bridgeport, and Waterville were first connected to fiber broadband in the early 2000s. The DCCN is currently connecting farms to Gigabit fiber Ethernet. DCPUD does Rural Broadband reliably and cost-effectively.
For the last 20+ years, the DCCN has steadily brought cutting-edge broadband into Rural Douglas County. Developing new technologies and methodologies has been a driving force for the DCCN and the team has successfully reduced bandwidth deployment costs to levels far below other fiber broadband providers.
The DCCN has brought Full Duplex Gigabit capable fiber to Rural Douglas County since inception. Our mission is to bring state-of-the-art broadband service to the underserved in Douglas County. DCPUD is currently connecting farms to Full Duplex Gigabit Ethernet broadband.
The DCCN has provided low-cost wholesale bandwidth and tip-top Utility Broadband Service in Douglas County since the year 2000.
