UTC Webinar: TETRA Features Explained

UTC has teamed with DAMM Cellular Systems to provide an eight-part webinar series that addresses several topics related land mobile radio system design. Topics include traffic management theory, outdoor and indoor propagation, IP traffic concepts and TETRA radio air interface technology. The sessions are led by an engineer with over twenty years of experience in TETRA system solutions design. Professional development hour (PDH) certificates will be available for sessions attended.

The webinar introduces some optional features in TETRA and how they can enhance a narrowband telecommunication system. The selected features include subscriber classes, secondary control channel, aliasing, authentication and encryption. Aim is to understand the capabilities of a narrowband system like TETRA and how to fulfil
requirements related to capacity, usability, confidentiality and security.
