Rates

Registration Rates:

Utility Rate – $300 for the 1st attendee and $90 for each additional attendee from the same company. Once the initial registration has been entered into the system contact support@utc.org for assistance with processing the additional discounted registrations.

UTC Associate Member – $450
Non-Member Associate Rate – $695

Exhibitor & Sponsor Registrations:
Exhibitors/Sponsors may receive complimentary or discounted rates depending on their level of participation. Before registering through the website please email us by clicking here to confirm any applicable comps or discounts.

Speakers:
All speakers will be registered complimentary by UTC staff.

Cancellation Policy:
Cancellations received by Monday, October 24th, will receive a refund less a 25% cancellation fee. Cancellations must be received in writing at meetings@utc.org.

Ron Beck

Interim President and CEO, UTC

Ron has extensive experience in electronic and communications system design, deployment, and operation – focusing on utility telecommunications, power generation, electric distribution, and their associated industrial control systems (ICS) platforms. He is an advocate of the connected grid, a frequent speaker on subjects related to utility telecommunications modernization, and an active supporter of all things networked.

Robert Finch

President, Select Spectrum

Robert Finch is the president and founder of Select Spectrum which provides FCC spectrum license consulting, marketing and brokerage services. Bob was previously VP Spectrum Development for Sprint Nextel where his team was responsible for aggregating 100 MHz of wireless broadband mobile spectrum rights nationwide. Bob holds engineering degrees from U.C. Davis and Stanford.

Brett Kilbourne

Senior Vice President, Policy and General Counsel, UTC

Brett Kilbourne is the Utilities Technology Council’s General Counsel and Vice President of Policy, the Washington-based association representing vital energy and water utilities on their mission-critical technologies by driving innovation, fostering collaboration, and influencing public policy.

In this role, Mr. Kilbourne provides legal guidance to utilities on telecommunications issues both pending before federal and state agencies and being considered in Congress.

He received his Juris Doctor degree from Catholic University and his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of the South. Mr. Kilbourne is licensed to practice law in the state of Maryland and is a member of the American Bar Association and the Federal Communications Bar Association.

Alex Petsos

Director of Sales for Ciena’s Energy Markets team,

Alex Petsos has enjoyed solving issues and adding value for clients across the Communications and IT industries for more than 30 years. He has had the pleasure of working with such leading companies as Xerox, Compaq Telecommunications, Hewlett Packard and now Ciena. Prior to coming over to the dark side, Sales, he has had a diverse set of roles including System Engineering, Product and Project Management, and Marketing. His current role is Director of Sales for Ciena’s Energy Markets team, a group specifically focused on helping Utility entities. He holds a BS degree in Physics from the State University of New York, and an MS degree in Software Development and Management from the Rochester Institute of Technology.

Hemant Relan

Radio Sales Solution Manager, Nokia North America

Hemant Relan is a ‘Radio Sales Solution Manager’ at Nokia North America. He is responsible for the Radio solution for Enterprise customers with a focus on Utilities. Prior to joining Nokia in the USA, Mr Relan worked with SINGTEL in Philippines, “Bharti Airtel” in India and other major Asia Pacific operators on Radio Solution for LTE & 5G. Mr Relan has 15 years of experience in RAN Solution Pre-Sales, Customer Management, New Technology Introductions, Product Marketing.

Ali Shah

Head of Enterprise Business Development, Nokia Mobile Networks in North America

Dr Ali Shah is the Head of Enterprise Business Development for Nokia Mobile Networks in North America. He joined Nokia in 2019 as the Head of Network Cognitive Services. Ali has experience in Mobile Network Strategy & Solutions, Network Planning and Optimization for Mobile Network Operators as well as Utilities in the USA. Prior to joining Nokia, Dr Ali Shah worked as a Principal Consultant for Enterprise customers with a focus on 5G/LTE, CBRS, IoT, SD-WAN Solutions, and AI/ML for Network Automation for multiple vendors including Ericsson from 1996-2016. Dr Shah has a PhD in Wireless Communications from George Mason University. He has taught as an Adjunct Professor at the Lyle School of Engineering, Southern Methodist University in Dallas TX on Advanced Wireless Topics and Telco Data Science. Dr Ali Shah has 14 Patents and numerous papers/white papers in academia and industry.
