UTC KICKS OFF UTC TELECOM 2008

 

ORLANDO, FL. – UTC TELECOM 2008, the annual conference of the Utilities Telecom Council, a trade association that serves as the premier source of telecom and IT advocacy, information and services for critical infrastructure industries kicked off yesterday at the Rosen Shingle Creek Resort.

Sunday’s program featured a golf tournament, in-depth tutorials and the Grand Opening of UTC EXPO 2008. The tutorials focused on issues that prepared attendees for educational sessions to come and introduced those new to the field to the many issues of telecom and IT professionals at energy and water organizations. Specifically, presentations included: Utility Telecom 101 Tutorial, Critical Communications Infrastructure Master Planning, Project Management for Non-Project Managers Tutorial, Staying out of Trouble with OSHA and the FCC – Compliance Training for Everyone, Utility Wireless Collocation Tutorial and Prioritizing Utility CAPEX Projects.

UTC EXPO 2008, UTC TELECOM 2008’s exhibit hall, features more vendor partners than ever before including leading product and service providers to the telecom and IT critical infrastructure industry.
